Traditional radio and Internet Radio are neck and neck where as my guess is that streaming services will mostlikey surpass traditional radio by 2014. The actual sale of music via CD and digital downloads is what independent artists rely on. COllectively downloads and CD sales equal the same consumption percentage found with radio. But what does this mean when the proeeds of onsumption are split completely different between sales and streaming royalties? Let it be noted that CD sales, the ast tangible platform for music only takes up 9% of the consumer market. NOw ask yourself how muh you are investing in the tangible sales of your next record?
